Which layout would you have gone for?

I recently did a 2 hour consultation with a client who was looking to knock a wall between her kitchen and dining room to create a more open and bright space.

The challenge was the furniture, radiator and kitchen unit layout when this wall was gone. There were windows and doors on the remaining walls, as well as a fireplace. Very tricky!

During the consultation I produced 9 sketch layout options, which we discussed to see which would suit how their family used the house. In doing so, we were able to narrow it down to 3 viable options.

We also made some tweaks to the kitchen layout the client had received from the kitchen supplier. By adding a window seat into the run of units, it made better use of the space behind the door.
